The Westhorpe School of Art is an art school with a difference. It is run by a professional artist from her home where she also works. Deborah Sweeney studied Fine Art at Sheffield and is also a fully qualified teacher. She started teaching from home in 1997 and continues to run weekly classes throughout the year.
There is an informal and friendly atmosphere at Long Barn and plenty of space to work. Both adults and children can enjoy the varied classes and there is lots of one to one tuition as class numbers are small.

Each November the studio at Long Barn is open to the public as part of ‘Southwell Open Studios’, otherwise paintings can be viewed by arrangement. Commissions are welcomed.
